Ben Needham-Wood is an EMMY Award-winning choreographer, filmmaker, and dance educator. He currently serves as the Artistic Director of Boulder Ballet in Colorado, and also leads his own non-profit company, Redirecting Dance, which was established in order to amplify critical social issues through dance-based productions. Ben was the first appointed Artistic Fellow of Amy Seiwert’s Imagery in San Francisco, CA. Ben’s leadership career follows 12-years of professional performance dancing primarily with the Louisville and Smuin Contemporary Ballets. As a performer he was honored to receive two Isadora Duncan Dance Award nominations. Ben is excited to join the Joffrey team in partnership with Boulder Ballet to support the growth of the next generation of dance artists.
