Classes are offered Monday – Friday. Dancers can register for one or two weeks. All students attending the last week (June 23 – June 27) will participate in a performance on Friday June 27, 2025.

Joffrey Ballet School is committed to providing an inclusive environment for all students. Dress Code for female-identifying dancers for the Ballet and Jazz & Contemporary Intensive

• Ballet: Black leotard, pink or skin-toned tights and ballet slippers.
• Other classes: Dance shorts or pants with a fitted T-Shirt, socks, shoes for contemporary dance forms.
• Socks and warm-ups for conditioning classes.
• Shoes for jazz and contemporary classes.
• Performance: Black ballet skirt for pointe/variations. Colored leotards to be used for performance only.

Dress Code for male-identifying dancers for the Ballet and Jazz & Contemporary Intensive

• 
Ballet: Black tights, fitted, tucked-in T-shirt (white or black), socks and shoes for ballet classes.
• Other classes: Black tights, T-shirt (white or black), socks and shoes.
• Socks and warm-ups for conditioning classes.
• Shoes for jazz and contemporary classes.
• Performance: Black tights, black shirt and white shirt for options. 

Supplies required for all dancers:

• Una botella de agua.
• Thera-band of preferred strength for conditioning classes.
• Clothing that will be worn when exiting the dance building.

The intensive will culminate in a theater performance on Friday June 27. More information about the performance and tickets will be announced closer to the intensive.

No parents, guardians or visitors are allowed to be in the building. All students must be dropped off outside, in front of the building entrance.

A completed physical or physician’s note from within the last 12 months is required and should be completed before a dancer begins their selected intensive. If you have a completed physical examination for your dancer from within the last calendar year, you can substitute it in place of the Doctor’s note. The letter must state that the dancer is healthy and physically able to participate in the summer program. This form will be submitted at the student’s program orientation. Todos nuestros becarios de verano participan en un sólido proceso de selección que incluye una solicitud formal, entrevistas individuales, evaluaciones en grupo y comprobación de antecedentes. La mayoría de nuestros becarios están cursando estudios universitarios o ya se han graduado. Todos los candidatos deben tener formación en danza o apreciar las artes escénicas.
