Rachel McFarlane is a dynamic individual with a deep passion for the arts and a commitment to fostering community and inclusion. She is currently pursuing a BA in Music with a double major in Games And Interactive Media Scoring (GAIMS) and Film Scoring at Berklee College of Music. As a Resident Assistant at Berklee, she plays a role in cultivating a vibrant and supportive residential community. Through her leadership, Rachel organizes and promotes social events and activities, ensuring that students feel connected and engaged within their living environment. She strives to connect residents with campus resources and academic assistance to enhance their university experience and contribute to a thriving and successful atmosphere.

Rachel brings her passion for equity in art and music to the forefront of her work at Yo-Yo Ma’s Silkroad Project. With a keen eye for social media strategy, she supports Silkroad’s marketing and promotional efforts by centering themes of equity and justice in her content creation. Outside of her internship and residential life, Rachel is a violinist and creates music social media content during her free time to educate others and uses music to connect, inspire, and drive positive change.
