Alfonsina Treneman
Alfonsina Treneman was born in Argentina, where she trained as a Ballet dancer with the “Instituto de Danzas Jairo Benitez.” Treneman is a Master Ballet teacher and has taught at “Petite Dance Escola de Ballet” in Brazil, Tuzer Dance Center, in Richardson Texas and Texas Ballet Theater School in Dallas TX. At the age of 17, Treneman was invited on full scholarship to dance in Brazil at the “Escola de Dancas Maria Olenewa.” She trained under the direction of Luis Carlos Nogueira, Emilio Martins and Maria Angelica Fiorani’s in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Later she became a professional dancer and formed part of the “Companhia de Ballet da Cidade de Niterói” and the “Companhia Brasileira de Ballet,” among others. Treneman is proud to be a new faculty member of the Joffrey Ballet School.
