Alex Hayden Miller received his BFA in musical theatre from the University of Michigan in 2016. After graduation he moved to New York City to pursue a career as an actor, singer, dancer. Notable performing credits include Mary Poppins (Bert) Red Mountain Theatre-chroeo. Sara Brians, West Side Story (Action) Milwaukee Rep-choreo. Jon Rua, and Anything Goes (Tenor 1, Sailor Quartet) The Muny-choreo. Jared Grimes. Beyond his on-stage work, he was given the opportunity to work as a director, when he staged his first show while attending University of Michigan entitled Freshmen Showcase and assisted the director of the off-Broadway play Ferguson with Jerry Dixon. These opportunities guided him to pursue a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Leadership with an Arts Administration Focus, 2021 while being a guest tap instructor at the University of Oklahoma. He then began his choreography career when he was given the opportunity to create 4 shows (A Soldier’s Tale, Together We Celebrate, Fun Home and Cinderella) at the nationally regarded Fulton Theatre led by Executive Artistic Producer Marc Robin. Alex worked alongside Marc Robin on all four projects, choreographing all four while serving as associate director on A Soldier’s Tale and Cinderella.
