Rudy Widjaja

Andrew Robinson was a principal Dancer/Actor with the Punchdrunk/Emersive production of Sleep No More from 2022-2025. He performed as a Soloist and Dance Captain at the Wiener Staatsoper Vienna in the production of Madame Butterfly.  He was Deputy Dance Director of the Metropolitan Opera Ballet between 2010-2021. He also performed with the company from 2001-2021 performing in over 50 Opera’s working with many artists such as Doug Varone, Mark Morris, Carolyn Choa, Mark Dendy, and Julie Taymor. He has also worked with such distinguished artists as Twyla Tharp, Martha Clarke, Richard Alston, Aletta Collins, Irene Hultman and Catherine Tyrocy. He has performed with London Contemporary Dance Theater under the direction of Robert Cohan, Dan Wagoner, and Nancy Duncan performing many works including choreography by Paul Taylor, Mark Morris, Christopher Bruce, Angelin Prelocaj, Amanda Miller, Kim Brandstrup, Bill T Jones and Arnie Zane. He has choreographed for London Contemporary Dance Theater and has had a continued choreographic partnership with his wife Gabrielle Malone. He has also reworked many revivals for the Metropolitan Opera and worked alongside many of the choreographers there. He was the Artistic Director of Youth, a dance company for young dancers based at The Place in London, was an adjunct professor for the Dance Program at Hunter College and taught for The Lindeman Young Artists Development Program at The Metropolitan Opera. He is a graduate of London Contemporary Dance School.
