Recent highlights for Caitlin Abraham include joining faculty at Marymount Manhattan College, playing the role of “Madame Pruneau” in Susan Stroman’s Broadway-bound new musical Marie, Dancing Still at the 5th Avenue Theatre in Seattle, originating the role of “Dream Mother” in the Off-Broadway reading of All Star, a new musical featuring music by Smash Mouth, and joining the faculty at Broadway Dance Center. On stage, Caitlin Abraham premiered An American in Paris (Director/Choreographer Christopher Wheeldon) both in Paris and on Broadway. She made her Broadway debut in La Cage aux Folles, and then joined the National Tour of Chicago the Musical. Ms. Abraham has starred as “Cassie” in A Chorus Line, and has worked with industry leaders including Susan Stroman, Josh Bergasse, Peggy Hickey, Anne Reinking and the Verdon Fosse Legacy. Commerical/TV/Film credits include: L’Oreal, the Tony Awards, a featured role in the dance film Salt Water (starring Desmond Richardson), and The Sound of Movie Musicals, a BBC documentary.

Before her musical theater career, Ms. Abraham spent seven seasons at Carolina Ballet under Dir. Robert Weiss (New York City Ballet). She achieved the rank of Soloist and performed principal roles in masterworks by George Balanchine, Jerome Robbins, Jose Limon and Lynne Taylor-Corbett. Caitlin has also performed to benefit organizations including Dancers Responding to AIDS, Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS and Amnesty International.

Among others, Ms. Abraham has coached Tony-nominee Ariana DeBose, NYCDA National Finals winner Sarah Pippen and pop star Lauryn Hill. Her teaching credits include: Broadway Dance Center, Marymount Manhattan College, the trainee programs at the Joffrey Ballet School and Joffrey Jazz & Contemporary, Alvin Ailey, New York City Dance Alliance, Harlem School of the Arts, Educational Performance Tours, Dance Educators of America, On Stage New York, Showstopper, Broadway Workshop and Dance Masters of America. Ms. Abraham has served as Assistant Dance Captain for La Cage on Broadway, Assistant Choreographer to Dontee Kiehn on Broadway Bares (BCEFA), Assistant Director for the film Salt Water, featuring Desmond Richardson, and as Co-Artistic Supervisor and Guest Choreographer for the new musical “Pan: Neverland and Beyond” at Steamboat Arts Academy (CO).
