Camille Bracher
Born and trained in Johannesburg, South Africa, Camille studied under the mentorship of Martin Schönberg, completing advanced Cecchetti method exams and participating in prestigious competitions such as the Youth America Grand Prix in New York and the Helsinki International Ballet Competition, where she won the silver medal in 2009. Her professional career includes performances with renowned companies such as the Royal Ballet and Company Wayne McGregor, where she excelled in productions like Infra, Living Archive, and Orpheus and Eurydice. Additionally, she has had the honor of inspiring original roles in works by celebrated choreographers such as Wayne McGregor, Carlos Acosta, Liam Scarlett, and Crystal Pite.
Beyond her performing career, Camille has pursued a path as a teacher and mentor, offering ballet and contemporary dance classes and workshops both in person and online. In 2018, she earned the Royal Academy of Dance Professional Dancers’ Teaching Diploma with distinction, and in 2022 she founded Ballet Base, an innovative app providing fitness sessions, dance classes, and mentoring for aspiring dancers. Her commitment to the community is also reflected in her involvement in charitable and outreach projects, such as We All Dance in Brisbane and Dance for a Cure in Johannesburg.
