Weston Krukow
Weston Krukow, a University of Arizona School of Dance alumni, has danced with Amy Seiwert’s Imagery, Smuin Ballet, and for the Lyric Opera of Chicago. His most recent accolade happened in February of 2022 when he had his Broadway debut with the Phantom of The Opera as the Hannibal Soloist. While freelancing in New York, Weston has helped the creation of new works with Movement Headquarters and MorDance. Teaching is a huge passion of his, and his highlight was teaching at Akron University with the students of the college program during a residency. Weston is an adjunct faculty member at the Institute of American Musical Theater and he has taught workshops and master classes across the world while touring with An American in Paris. Television credits include dancing on The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, WestWorld, Severance, The Gilded Age, and Severance. He also produced, choreographed, and danced in BaseBallet: Into The Game: the documentary film showcasing the athleticism of dance, which was featured on NBC Sports Bay Area, honored in over ten film festivals nationwide, and receiving five Emmy awards.
Beginning at a young age, Weston has dealt with chronic back spasms and sciatic episodes. This has led him on a search for answers to finding a way to live and dance without pain. He has since then discovered a personal breakthrough through the power of the mind-body connection and our ability to help ourselves through our own thoughtful re-purposing of mental and physical evaluations. His classes are focused on the celebration of movement and the idea that we hold the power to find joy through understanding and owning tension and how to release it.
