Gino Diminich is a rising senior currently majoring in journalism at the Media School at Indiana University. As a reporter for the Indiana Daily Student, Gino spent almost two years covering the acclaimed Jacobs School of Music, writing previews, and conducting interviews about ballet, opera, and orchestral performances. Through his in-depth reporting style, which emphasized shared humanity and passion, he deepened his love of the arts, especially ballet. Through his writing and photography, Gino aimed to show how universal the art world truly was and how impactful it was for those in it and those observing it. He has conducted and published numerous interviews with acclaimed directors and choreographers like Crystal Manich, Christian Claessens, Phil Chan, and Gianna Reisen, to name a few. Through these interviews, he has gained a unique perspective on those who work tirelessly to constantly reinvent the performing arts for a new generation of passionate performers and audience members.
