Joelis Dariana Martinez-Santiago, a Puerto Rican dancer, currently embarks on her freshman journey at The Boston Conservatory at Berklee, majoring in Contemporary dance. With a profound interest in dance education, she boasts three years of experience in student engagement and arts administration. As a ballroom teacher assistant at Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico, she supported the lead teacher in guiding hour-long classes for 40 children, going beyond mere assistance to actively mentor, address questions, provide clarity, and demonstrate steps alongside the lead instructor. Since age 16, she’s been entrusted as a substitute for teachers at Ballet Concierto de Puerto Rico, adeptly covering classes across ballet, jazz, and contemporary styles. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she also exhibits proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Programs, Canva, and various social media platforms. Driven by her passion to nurture creativity in young minds, she aspires to thrive in educational environments.
