New York, NY – June 25, 2024 – The Joffrey Ballet School is thrilled to announce its continued collaboration with Cirque du Soleil for the 6th year of the highly anticipated Cirque Arts Summer Intensive. This year’s program hosted by the Joffrey Ballet School has already sold out, reflecting the immense interest and excitement surrounding this unique opportunity. Artistic Directors Matthew Prescott and Maximilien Baud, together with Kerren McKeeman the Cirque du Soleil Consultant & Coordinator, lead a one-week program for students to develop their versatility in the world of circus arts.

Kerren McKeeman, a distinguished Cirque du Soleil artist and seasoned performer, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the program. Known for her innovative approach and dedication to the performing arts, McKeeman’s involvement is set to elevate the experience for all participants.

The Cirque Arts Summer Intensive provides students with the unparalleled opportunity to train under the guidance of industry professionals. This year’s program promises to be exceptional, offering a comprehensive curriculum that includes aerial silks, trapeze, fast track, character, dance, and more.

A highlight of this year’s intensive is an exclusive observation of a training session and  Q&A session with artists from Mystère by Cirque du Soleil.  After watching a live performance of this iconic production, students will have the chance to interact with the artists, gaining insights into the world of Cirque du Soleil and the creative processes behind their awe-inspiring performances.
