Kennedy Wilson

Kennedy V. Wilson is a dancer, performer, and violinist from Louisville, Kentucky. Originally a ballet dancer from the age of three, she later attended the Youth Performing Arts School of duPont Manual High School, where she picked up modern and contemporary techniques. During her high school years, she also danced at the University of Louisville Dance Academy where she performed in the Nutcracker, Spring Gala, and the yearly Lecture Demonstration. Currently, Kennedy is a senior BFA student in dance at the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign. While attending UIUC Kennedy has performed in works by Dr. Kemal Nance, Roxanne D’Orleans Juste, Bevara Anderson, Martha Graham, and a plethora of undergraduate senior theses. During her time at the University of Illinois, she joined the RSO Wrapsody Dance Co. as the treasurer and official member of the costume committee. On Wrapsody Dance Co., Kennedy assists team members with choreography, warm-ups and actively seeks to help other students on the team who are in need. When Kennedy lived in the dorms during her sophomore-junior years, she joined the dorms student committee. On this committee, Kennedy assisted with creating student-run dorm events to celebrate holidays, on-campus events, and help prepare students for exam season. Later in her last year as a senior, Kennedy became a member of the Fine and Applied Arts Philanthropy Committee, where she also assisted with creating events for the school of FAA to help give back to students of the school of FAA at UIUC.
