Born and raised in Moscow Russia, Larisa Calero is a former principal dancer with the Moisseyev Dance Company. While performing with the Company, she got her Master’s Degree in Choreography from RATI – Russian Academy of Theatrical Art (former GITIS). After almost ten years performing with the Moisseyev Dance Company around the world, Larisa found a new home in New York City. Teaching is her second passion. In Larisa’s Character class, students get introduced to new dance techniques from around the world and learn pieces from renowned classical ballets in addition to pieces choreographed by Larisa. She emphasizes the performing side of dance and delivering the story.
