Libby Julian (She/Her) grew up in Knoxville, Tennessee, and trained as a competitive dancer and choreographer at her local studio, Knox Dance Worx. She started dancing at the age of four and never looked back! Libby joined the University of Alabama as a Dance Major and General Business Minor. At UA, Libby has had the privilege to perform for Dance Alabama! as well as the Alabama Festival of Ballet and Alabama Dance Festival. Libby has previously served on the Dance Alabama! Executive Board as the Social Media Coordinator and is currently the President of Dance Alabama!. Libby is also a Dance Ambassador for UA Theatre and Dance. Libby has spent the past eight years touring and assisting as a performance member of the Tremaine Performance Company under the direction of Joe Tremaine and Keri LaGrand. She has had the opportunity to work with artists such as Paula Abdul, Derek Hough, Corbin Bleu, and many more through this program. Libby has spent many summer breaks studying with Tremaine Dance, West Coast Dance Explosion, and American Ballet Theatre in NYC. Libby was recently hired as a professional, nationals assistant by Tremaine Dance where she demonstrated for the master teachers during classes as well as assisting with competition in the evening. After having that experience, Libby now wants to reach for the stars and have a career in commercial dance after graduation.
