Lizbeth Ortiz
Originally from Fort Worth, Texas, Lizbeth began her pre-professional training when she was 12 years old at the Escuela Superior de Música y Danza de Monterrey in Monterrey, Mexico. While she was a student, she participated in Festival Danza Cordoba (YAGP Mexico), in Movimiento Joven Talento Mexicano, in Encuentro Internacional de Ballet in La Habana, Cuba and at ABT Repertory Intensive. In 2017 she graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Arts, Majoring in Clasical Dance, and joined Ballet de Monterrey the same year under Jose Manuel Carreño’s direction. As a professional dancer she has participated in various full-length ballets such as La Bayadère, The Phantom of the Opera, The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, La Fille Mal Gardée, Don Quijote, Peter Pan, Transpoint, and Le Corsaire. Throughout her career she has trained under Claudio Munoz, Darla Hoover, Alan Hineline, Jose Manuel Carreño, Ramona de Saa, Ethan Stiefel, Gillian Murphy, and Thiago Soares who is Ballet de Monterrey’s current Artistic Director, among others. She has 4 years of teaching experience in ballet class, pre-pointe class, pointe class
and ballet for rhythmic gymnastics.
