RESIDENT COMMUNITY ADVISOR

Miriam Czaja grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. She is currently a sophomore at Hope College in Holland, Michigan, double majoring in Dance and Exercise Science. On campus, Miriam has had the privilege to perform in the annual Dance X Concert, Student Dance Showcase, Senior Capstone, Ballet Club, and Composition showcases. She recently had her choreography performed in Paris, France and has been able to extend her training to local festivals, Hubbard Street Dance Chicago, Uprooted Intensive, Steps on Broadway, and Visceral Dance Center. While also being a Resident Assistant (RA) and manager at Hope’s coffee shop, Miriam understands the passion, hardships, time, and physical demands of dancing, being in new environments, and balancing tasks. Being a student and a dance teacher herself, Miriam also understands what can happen inside and outside the studio. She is willing to listen and give advice to any challenges or successes you experience as she has been trained in and assisted students in her previous RA and managing position. Miriam hopes she can offer support and community to you for your time at Joffrey. Additionally, Miriam is excited to make your experience at Joffrey a safe, enjoyable, and memorable place to spend your summer.
