Ohad Mazor
Ohad Mazor (they/them) was born in 1998 in Haifa, Israel. They are a queer, independent artist, Gaga teacher, and former dancer of the Batsheva Dance Company (2016-23.) In their time in the company, Ohad took part in the original creations of ‘2019’ and ‘MOMO’ by Ohad Naharin and Sharon Eyal’s ‘The Look’, as well as many restagings and adaptations of Naharin’s work.
Ohad’s research lays at an intersection between dance, drag, and confession, dealing with identity, gender, and politics often through a hyper-personal lens. They presented their solo work ‘Flat/A One Woman Cabaret’, which delves into their dancing queer body, at CCA: Tel Aviv-Yafo Contemporary Gallery in 2022 and Habit Theatre Jaffa in 2023.
In addition, Ohad has presented several short works for the Batsheva Dancers Create performance platform and Intimadance Festival 2023. They have also performed as the queer persona “Sima Everything” on alternative stages.
Ohad writes a personal Substack, “The Emancipation of MeMe”.
