Phil Orsano
Phil Orsano was born in Queens, NY and received his BFA at Southern Methodist University. Orsano has danced for Complexions Contemporary Ballet, Hubbard Street 2, Radio City, Mia Michaels, Madonna, Jimmy Fallon, Law & Order SVU, and many more. His Company, The Orsano Project, premiered their first full length show in November 2017. The Orsano Project has also performed at The Brooklyn Museum, The Grier School Gala, Broadway Dance Center’s “Premier,” Brad Walsh’s album premiere ANTIGLOT produced by Christian Siriano and more. Orsano’s piece “One” was featured in Dance Teacher Magazine as Video of the Month. Phil also choreographs events for the Horatio Alger Association. His company performed for the association at the Kennedy Center, DAR, The Portrait Gallery and will be working with them for future events. Phil choreographed for the Opening Ceremony of World Pride in NYC at the Barclays for the RuPauls Drag Race Queens featuring Alaska, Shangela, Alyssa Edwards, Bob The Drag Queen, and Ivy Odly. Orsano is represented by CESD as a choreographer and currently teaches at Broadway Dance Center, The Joffrey Ballet School, Stage Door Workshops and Quest Intensive. Orsano is also company manager at Dance Lab NY. He has entitled his work as “tendugroove,” incorporating contemporary ballet with a natural humanistic, musical groove.
