Veda Palomo is originally from Cleveland, Ohio, and is a rising sophomore at NYU Gallatin focusing on the intersection of STEM, Medicine, and Art (especially dance). Her passion overall is to increase access to art through technology and biotechnology in an attempt to spread the transformative power of art to more people. Veda studied ballet at the Cleveland Ballet School and Company from 2012 to 2023. As a Cleveland Ballet Youth Company member, she performed in several consecutive sold-out performances at Cleveland’s Playhouse Square Theaters, the second-largest Theater district in the US. Veda loves basketball and from age 6 to 16, Veda was part of the NBA Cleveland Cavaliers dance team and a Cavs Kid Reporter. As a Cavs dancer, she danced for an audience of 25,000+ fans during regular season and playoff games, including the year when the Cavaliers won the championship. As a Cavs Kid reporter, she interviewed NBA players and personalities for features shown during games and on Fox Sports Ohio TV. Veda loves to travel, having been to over 30 countries, and now living in New York, she loves the energy and art’s presence throughout the city.
